Christian Bolar is a 15-year-old singer, musician, athlete, actor, and talk show host. A native of Richmond, Virginia, Christian was always destined to make his musical mark hailing from a musical family. He is the great grandson of the late Lonnie Liston Smith, Sr. of the Legendary Gospel Group (The Harmonizing Four), grandson of Ray Smith, Sr. member of the 60’s Doo Wop Group (The Jarmels), and the great nephew of Jazz musicians Lonnie Liston Smith, Jr. and Donald Smith.
Christian started singing at the age of 5. He started playing the piano shortly after. At the early age of 8, he received his first acting break in “The Wiz” as the Tinman. He would later land roles in popular musicals such as “Under the Sea” (Sebastian) and “Annie” (Will Stacks). Christian has also had a love for the drums since he was a toddler. As a self-taught drummer, he is now a member of his middle school band. At age 9, he started playing the guitar and is now teaching himself how to play the trumpet.
He was co-host to the popular talk show “Youthful Voices,” which aired on the Comcast Cable Network in the Virginia area in 2018. Christian is also Stellar Award Nominated and was in the category of Youth Project of The Year in 2019. His debut EP “Speak It” was released September 28, 2018 and hit # 5 on the Billboard Charts and his single “No Games” was just released on August 9, 2019. Christian’s single “Place It In Your Hands” was released on March 6, 2020 and charted #90 on the Billboard Gospel Airplay Chart. The song also landed #2 with new radio single on Kirk Franklin’s Praise Station Sirius XM.

Christian’s debut album was just released on September 25, 2020 and it includes powerful praise and worship songs, as well as laced tracks that minister to both young and mature audiences alike. His current song “We’re Ready” is swiftly climbing the Billboard Radio charts and is a ballad declaring that believers all over the world are ready for a mighty move of God.

Christian is a motivational speaker and loves being an inspiration to others. Christian says he is grateful for all the gifts God has blessed him with and he hopes to inspire his generation to be the best they can be.
